How to install the leak detector?
Please connect the 1/2" BSP external thread to the appropriate fitting and attach it to the water source piping. Whether used in a water treatment system or an RO system, ensure it is installed on the inlet pipe.

How does the leak detection system work?
It works by using a built-in metal sensor to detect water leaks and automatically shutting off the water supply to prevent further damage. For optimal performance, please place the device with its back facing down in a low-lying area where water is likely to collect.
Is it suitable for different types of water pipes or appliances?
This leak detector (AS-414) is not suitable for main water lines. It is primarily designed to detect leaks in kitchen water pipes, such as water heaters, washing machines, and dishwashers.
What may be the main cause of solenoid failure?
The solenoid valve may become stuck with impurities or scale in the water.
To improve customers' experience and extend the lifespan of the device, we’ve updated the design so that the solenoid valve briefly cuts off power for 0.5 seconds each day.
This helps prevent scale buildup on the spring inside the valve, ensuring more reliable performance over time.
Is it suitable for hot water?
It is not suitable for hot water. The maximum operating water temperature for the leak detector is 105°F (40.5°C). And it must also be installed at least 12 inches (30 cm) away from any water heater.
Is the detector suitable for outdoor use?
The detector can operate normally as long as the environment temperature is between -20 to 80°C (-4 to 176°F).
